VRLA AGM Standby

Valve Regulated Lead-Acid batteries (VRLA) are defined by their electrolyte or ‘acid mix’ being suspended instead of free-flowing and the presence of a safety pressure relief valve. VRLA batteries are considered maintenance free as they don’t require any acid or water to be added, instead they utilize one-way, pressure-relief valve system which retains the moisture the battery needs and prevents excessive water loss.

The suspended electrolyte means they can be mounted in any position and eliminate the risk acid leakage making them suitable for indoor and outdoor installation near critical equipment.

Standby batteries are designed to be integrated with a 240V main powered charger and only used in emergency or back up situations when mains power is disrupted.
